We're back at Montreal's Legal Wall de Rouen at the end of July. There's always something interesting to discover on the two walls that make up this viaduct. Since artists are allowed to paint here, they can practice their art without stress. The best work is done on weekends.

Nous sommes de retour au Mur Légal de Rouen à Montréal à la fin de ce mois de juillet. Il y a toujours quelque chose d'intéressant à découvrir sur les deux murs que composent ce viaduc. Comme les artistes ont le droit de peindre dans ce lieu, ils peuvent pratiquer leur art sans stress. C'est surtout les fins de semaines que les meilleures œuvres sont faites.

Macak was still present (see StreetArt #708) enhanced by a superb black and white portrait by an unknown artist.

WHO

I passed by mid-week and many of the works had already been tagged. As these two walls are open to everyone, there's sometimes some "not-so-good works". But young people need to practice.

Je suis passé en milieu de semaines et beaucoup d'œuvres avait été déjà taguées. Comme ces deux murs sont ouverts à tous, il y a parfois du moins bon. Mais il faut que les jeunes s'excercent.

This portrait of a woman in shades of blue is really very beautiful. I think it's by Omar Bernal if the signature is anything to go by and the Omar in the hair, a very talented Mexican artist who has been living in Montreal for some time.

Ce portrait féminin dans les teintes bleues est vraiment très beau. Je pense qu'il est l'œuvre de Omar Bernal si je me fie à la signature et au Omar dans les cheveux, artiste mexicain installé depuis quelques temps à Montréal, très talentueux.

Next to it is SlamBoy in a completely different style. The rest of the first wall is almost all tags, with the possible exception of the first one on the left, done by Hace.

A côté, il s'agit de SlamBoy avec un style complètement différent. Le reste du premier mur est presque des tags sans intérêt à part peut-être le premier à gauche, celui de Hace.

Aldarwin

Another Montreal-based Mexican artist, Aldarwin Hernadez, finishes off this wall with a new monster in his style for the year. I liked last year's better, but it's interesting to see his evolution.

Aldarwin Hernadez, autre artiste mexicain basé à Montréal, termine ce mur avec un nouveau monstre dans son style de l'année. Je préférais celui de l'année dernière mais c'est intéressant de voir son évolution.

As usual, we cross the rue de Rouen to discover the other wall with another lettering by Macak embellished by the Nero character. / FR : Nous traversons, comme d'habitude, la rue de Rouen pour découvrir l'autre mur avec un autre lettrage de Macak agrémenté par le personnage de Nero.

Next up is Dante Caloia aka Live from the Inferno, an Italian artist and musician also based in Montreal. I'm discovering his work for the first time.

Après on retrouve Dante Caloia aka Live from the Inferno, artiste, musicien italien basé aussi à Montréal. Première fois que je découvre son travail.

Hick & Polographe

We arrive at the most interesting part of the viaduct for the day (in my opinion) with this lettering by Hick, followed by a new graffiti by Polographe. Simply superb with these letters in the background. It's almost Halloween before its time, although the stores are already selling decorations and treats 😕.

Nous arrivons à la partie la plus intéressante du viaduc pour cette journée avec ce lettrage de Hick, suivi d'un nouveau graffiti du Polographe. Simplement superbe avec ces lettres en fond. Cela fait presque Halloween avant l'heure bien que les magasins vendent déjà les décorations et les friandises.

Mart

Right next door, we find Mart with his piece called Fragment. It's cool to see a more realistic style from this artist. It's followed by some superb lettering by an unknown artist. If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to leave a comment.

Juste à côté, on retrouve Mart avec sa pièce nommée Fragment. C'est cool de voir une œuvre au style plus réaliste de cette artiste. Elle est suivi par un superbe lettrage d'un artiste inconnu. Si quelqu'un a une idée, n'hésitez pas de laisser un commentaire.
