Vegan TUNA for salads, sandwiches and more! 🐟

If you ever feel nostalgic for tuna salad after becoming vegan, try out this vegan tuna mixture and enjoy a fishless meal!
This mixture can be great for salads, sandwiches, tortillas or could be eaten alone.
For more "fishy" flavor, you can add more nori sheet sprinkles ✨

▶️ Check out short video how to prepare the tuna mixture here or read the recipe described below 💚

You will need:

  • 1 can of chickpeas (could be boiled) (240g.)
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1 small onion
  • 6 small pickled cucumbers (+2 spoons of their liquid)
  • A handful of coriander
  • Half of avocado
  • 1 spoon of shredded nori sheet
  • 2 teaspoons of mustard
  • Sprinkle of salt and pepper
  • 1-2 spoons of lemon juice

Preparation

  1. Rinse the chickpeas. After placing them in a bowl, mash them well with a fork - so that all the chickpeas are chopped.
  2. Finely chop all the other ingredients, shred half of the nori sheet (or more if you want more "fishy" flavor) with a blender or knife and mix everything with the mashed chickpeas. Mix the whole mixture a little more with a fork and serve as you like most - on salads, on sandwiches or eat without any of that!

This is quite a popular way to re-create something similar to tuna - have you tried any recipe like this?
If not, maybe it is a sign to try it out!! 💚
