2022 British 2 oz Silver Royal Tudor Beasts Lion of England Coin
- 1st BU design in the British Tudor Beasts Series.
- Bears a face value of 5 Pound sterling (GBP) backed by the government of Britain.
- The obverse depicts Queen Elizabeth II.
- On the reverse is the impaled Royal Arms of King Henry VIII and Jane Seymour.
This is the first design in the British Tudor Beasts Series. It follows the success of the 1ST ever 2 oz 10 piece silver bullion series from the Royal Mint- the Queen's Beasts.
Like the Queen's Beasts, the British Tudor Beast Series also contains 2 Troy oz of .9999 pure silver.
The crowned Lion of England is the oldest heraldic beast in English history. It is a traditional symbol of bravery, strength and valour.
The heraldic beasts that were prominent during Henry VIII’s reign is the focus of the Royal Tudor Beast series.
