I think that going back to the province of Mendoza was a great decision: of course one will never, ever finish seeing all the beautiful places that there are in a certain area, but it is good to take as many memories as possible. When I had gone to Mendoza in 2018 I went to San Rafael, one of the parts with more things to do in terms of tourism; but it still remained to know the city of Mendoza and one of its main attractions: the Cacheuta hot springs. Finally, in 2021 I had my revenge and I was able to go to this beautiful place 😃.
Pienso que volver a ir a la provincia de Mendoza fue una gran decisión: por supuesto uno nunca jamás va a terminar de ver todos los lugares hermosos que hay en una determinada área, pero está bueno llevarse la mayor cantidad de recuerdos posibles. Cuando había ido a Mendoza en el 2018 fui a San Rafael, una de las partes con más cosas para hacer en cuanto a turismo; pero aún restaba conocer la ciudad de Mendoza y uno de sus principales atractivos: las termas de Cacheuta. Finalmente, en el 2021 tuve mi revancha y pude ir hasta este hermoso lugar 😃.
It was the last day of our trip, so we were all excited about this and not looking forward to going back home. We met many beautiful places during this walk, but this was the main destination of all. Fortunately the day was clear and quite hot despite the fact that there were still a few weeks until summer arrived.
Era el último día de nuestro viaje, así que todos estábamos emocionados por esto y sin ganas de volver a casa. Conocimos muchos lugares lindos durante este paseo, pero este era el destino principal de todos. Afortunadamente el día estaba despejado y bastante caluroso a pesar de que aún faltaban algunas semanas para que llegara el verano.
This place is a important tourist complex of hot springs and is prepared as such: before reaching the gate there were several businesses where you could buy food and crafts, but this was not allowed until you buy the park entrance (this measure was supposedly "security" , but I guess more than anything it was to help everyone's economy).
Este lugar es un importante complejo turístico de aguas termales y está preparado como tal: antes de llegar a la puerta habían varios negocios en donde podías comprar comida y artesanías, pero esto no estaba permitido hasta que compres la entrada del parque (esta medida supuestamente era "de seguridad", pero supongo que más que nada era para ayudar a la economía de todos).

The travel package that we hired already had the entrance included, but we could see the prices on the posters. In November 2021, the general price was 1000 Argentine pesos (something of 10 USD at the official price). This seemed quite accessible considering how beautiful it is.
El paquete de viaje que contratamos ya tenía la entrada incluida, pero pudimos ver los precios en los carteles. En noviembre de 2021 en precio general era de 1000 pesos argentinos (algo de 10 USD al precio oficial). Esto me pareció bastante accesible considerando el lugar hermoso que es.
This property is really huge: it has pools with water of different temperatures as you move within the area, changing rooms, bathrooms, lockers and a dining area where you can have your own food for lunch or shop there.
Este predio es realmente enorme: cuenta con piletas con agua de distintas temperaturas a medida que te desplazas dentro del área, vestuarios, baños, lockers y una zona de comedor en donde puedes almorzar tu propia comida o bien comprar ahí dentro.

For our part, my partner Gertrudiz, myself and a large part of our group preferred to eat there. A large freestyle barbecue was held: this meant that by paying for the plate you could eat and drink as much as you wanted. I would be lying if I said I ate little, it was delicious. At that time I thought it would have been better to take some pictures before my belly was so swollen 😂.
Por nuestra parte, mi compañera Gertrudiz, yo y gran parte de nuestro grupo prefirió comer ahí. Se realizó un gran asado de estilo libre: esto significaba que al pagar el plato podías comer y beber toooodo lo que quisieras. Mentiría si dijera que comí poco, estaba delicioso. En ese momento pensé que hubiese sido mejor tomarme unas fotografías antes de tener la panza tan hinchada 😂.

After lunch we went to enjoy the day. The interesting thing about the architecture of this place was that you entered the upper part of the complex and to access the other pools you had to go down. The hottest water was at the top, and the temperature dropped downstairs.
Luego del almuerzo fuimos a disfrutar del día. Lo interesante de la arquitectura de este lugar era que ingresabas en la parte superior del complejo y para acceder a las demás piletas debías ir bajando. El agua más caliente estaba en la parte de arriba, y la temperatura descendía escaleras abajo.
All the pools were signposted regarding the water temperature and the recommended residence time. The day was quite hot, so it was dangerous to spend a lot of time in hot water, so it was best to change the pool every 10 or 15 minutes.
Todas las piletas estaban señalizadas en cuanto a la temperatura del agua y al tiempo recomendado de permanencia. El día estaba bastante caluroso, por lo cual resultaba algo peligroso pasar mucho tiempo en agua caliente, por lo que lo más recomendable era cambiar de pileta cada 10 o 15 minutos.
Although I went to almost all the pools, I preferred to be in the lower part of the complex where the water was warm and cold. In this area there was a small park where you could have a picnic, even have the beers that that beautiful day deserved 😅.
Si bien me metí a casi todas las piletas, preferí estar en la parte de abajo del complejo en donde el agua era tibia y fría. En esta zona había un pequeño parque en donde podías hacer picnic, incluso tomar las cervezas que ese hermoso día ameritaba 😅.

Everything is designed for the enjoyment of young and old: there was also a system of slides through which you could jump. Some were in operation, but by the time we went the main pool below was empty. I would like to return to see it with water and throw myself out of there, my wild spirit asks me to 😂.
Todo está pensado para el disfrute de grandes y chicos: también había un sistema de toboganes por los cuales podías arrojarte. Algunos estaban en funcionamiento, pero al momento que fuimos la pileta principal de abajo estaba vacía. Me gustaría regresar para verla con agua y tirarme de ahí, mi espíritu salvaje me lo pide 😂.
These hot springs seemed like a true paradise: in any direction you had the mountains in the background, I think this location is unbeatable. There was also a river in the lower part, but I was so comfortable in a pool of cold water that surrounded the entire property that I hardly wanted to move from there 😅.
Estas termas me parecieron un verdadero paraíso: en cualquier dirección tenías las montañas de fondo, creo que esta ubicación es inmejorable. También había un río en la parte inferior, pero yo estaba tan cómoda en una pileta de agua fría que rodeaba todo el predio que casi no quise moverme de ahí 😅.
That day we spent the whole day in the sun and even though I had sunscreen I think I burned a lot: I know because the burn marks thanks to the bathing suit say so. So in November I already took the tan color that I will have all this summer 😂.
Ese día pasamos todo el día bajo el sol y a pesar de que tenía protector solar creo que me quemé un montón: lo sé porque las marcas de quemaduras gracias al traje de baño lo dicen. Así que en noviembre ya tomé el color bronceado que tendré todo este verano 😂.

We were in the hot springs from 10 AM to almost 6 PM, the time the complex closed. It was a beautiful day, we ended up quite exhausted after being in the water, I knew that I was going to return the whole trip sleeping and I did. Always the end of a trip gives me some nostalgia and happiness at the same time for having had a wonderful time ❤️.
Estuvimos en las termas desde las 10 AM hasta las casi 6 PM, hora a la que cerraba el complejo. Fue un hermoso día, terminamos bastante agotados después de estar en el agua, yo sabía que iba a regresar todo el viaje durmiendo y así fue. Siempre el fin de un viaje me da algo de nostalgia y felicidad al mismo tiempo por haber pasado un maravilloso rato ❤️.

In terms of costs, this whole week-long trip cost me something of 30,000 Argentine pesos (300 USD at official price). It doesn't seem so high to me, considering how much fun I had in such a beautiful place, I brought gifts for everyone and did all the excursions I wanted to do. Also, I see it as an investment in my own happiness and for that I have no price limit 😅.
En cuanto a costos, todo este viaje de una semana me costó algo de 30.000 pesos argentinos (300 USD a precio oficial). No me parece tan elevado, considerando lo bien que la pasé en tan hermoso lugar, traje regalos para todos e hice todas las excursiones que quería hacer. Además, lo veo como una inversión en mi propia felicidad y para eso no tengo ningún limite de precio 😅.
