Walked Too Far This Time?
It's been a mixed week weather-wise but I've managed to get out every day for my walks. In fact I did the longest walk yet during really strong winds. The weather lifted today to give us pretty much all day sunshine. The temperature wasn't anywhere near the previous weeks at only barely over 20ºC. Walking long distances in the heat can be exhausting and dehydrating so I actually quite enjoyed the milder temperatures.
I'm currently visiting my cousins just outside the M25 so I decided to walk into London and up one of it's highest peaks. If was a bit of a long one but I did split it into two. I also pretty much got no work done today apart from recording a video for publication on YouTube bright and early in the morning.
The views were awesome from an elevated point. The sun was in the wrong place for good photos -too high in the sky, but I still managed to squeeze out some shots. I tried to take some self portraits using my phone's wireless connection to the camera as a trigger but it just never turned out. All the shots I thought I took, never did take, haha. I ended up with me just staring at my phone 😂
The walk back to my cousins was actually very tasking - more than usual. I felt an unusual fatigue in my legs that I rarely ever feel. I looked at the time and understood why. I had been walking for five solid hours! The podcast episodes I was listening to, and the photography, made the time fly by. No mater how my brain experienced the walk though, my feet and legs still had to actually do the work, hence the fatigue. It's all going to hurt in the morning, but it's that good kind of pain if you know what I mean :)
Peace & Love,
Adé
