2024 First week at a glance

Below first picture wasn't my own. If you have read my post prior 2nd half of 2023, picture below should be a familiar place. It was my previous work place cafeteria. I used to hide there for breakfast, sometimes lunch, and even tea break and composed many posts in #steem and #hive over the years.

It was one of my long time client took the picture and asked me if i missed that place. I told him yeah i remember that. We actually first met at that place 5 years ago. How time flies. I dont regret getting out from that job, but somehow deep in my heart i miss most of my colleagues, clients, associates and friends there.

Previous year, there was an incident where i left my phone by the car door pocket, as i disembarking the passenger side, i slipped and sent my phone fly, had its screen slashed. After i got its screen replaced, it has never back to 100% despite i have sent it back several time for rework. I believe leveling the digitizer on the touchscreen isn't really an easy task for anyone third party repairer.

Often the damn phone will automatically swipe the screen and touching random spot on the screen, especially when the surface is warm and got expended. Just so happen the other day when i was watching pornhub, suddenly the damn screen went and download some thirdparty app and clicking unwanted app, and it was too damn late for me to even try to uninstall those junk app. Its been awhile since milfhunter virus era when the computer start download search bar and flood the internet browser, now to happen to my damn phone. That leave me no choice but to give it a hard reset.

There was a very long story on Friday night, when the boss invite us for a drink. It went from 1 to 2, and then 4, before i remember 8, there was 16. I don't even remember how i got home, so there was no picture and i dont remember what's important at the pub. Next day woke up for a quick walk, sweat it all out and a nasi lemak breakfast is all that i need. Pardon that patch of spicy sambal that looks like... Errmmm.. nvm

I was quite groggy over the weekend. I think my body isn't physically fit to those kind of late night drinking activity anymore. Too much of an 8oz bicep curl resulting me not feeling myself. Fortunate enough the home minister wasn't triggered. She took me out for a quiet lunch, and for god knows reason i went and ordered a plate of steamed squid in sweet sauce... Errrrr.... Is that how the recipe of making squid rujak supposed to be?

The restaurant was almost fully run by foreignor. The claypot chicken rice was ok, almost tasted authentic. Why almost? I don't know. I'm sure the worker has gotten the recipe from their employer, somehow it just tasted a little different. May be, its like the old saying goes, too much of a good thing, isn't necessarily good. May be they put too much of that preserved salted fish?

After church, we went to one of those traditional indian shop, i got myself 2 slices of apam. I dont know how yo explain it to you, its like a pan baked cake made of rice flour, served with coconut milk. I enjoyed it very much and wash them down with a cup of warm milk tea. Dont talk about nutrition fact, the alcohol effect still not fully flush away even after 24 hours.

That brings me to the closure of the first week. Started with 81.4kg on tthe first day of the year and i am currently at my lowest of the week, 79.2kg. The median for first week is confirmed at 80.3kg.

I have done 20x push ups on a daily basis. This practice of punch card mechanism actually pretty darn useful. I get to track what i have done and what i have failed to. Good thing is, i can act immediately.

I have also sponsored 150 points on a daily basis, started from some friends, and also found some new friends ovet the week. Saturday i spent a little more time in reading, so i actually sponsored 3 times.

I think its a fruitful first week, and i am proud to say i am on track. I find it easy for me to follow this type of routine and i can do it long term. I will just have to repeat this on a daily basis, like playing games.
