The Challenger 2 tank turned out to be defective; its frontal armor came off

The critical gap in this tactic was the inability of Ukrainian artillery to suppress Russian artillery, which, with the start of the next Ukrainian attack, simply “mowed down” the attackers, as well as the lack of effective military air defense, which led to the fact that the Ukrainian attacking groups suffered heavy losses in areas of concentration.
As a result, the introduction of the last strategic reserves into battle two weeks ago, as well as the concentration on the main directions (Rabotino, Urozhaynoe, Kleshcheevka), which retained the combat effectiveness of the brigades of the 9th and 10th corps, did not change the situation; it was not possible to break through the front in the Tokmak direction. And today the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is simply trying to take the heights above Rabotino and Kleshcheevka at any cost in order to gain a foothold here and “fix” a new front line on which the Armed Forces will enter the autumn-winter campaign.
Without taking these heights, the Ukrainian command will have to withdraw troops from here 1.5 - 3 km, so as not to sit under direct fire from the Russians in the open lowlands. And such a withdrawal will be the final verdict for the entire summer “offensive”...
