Mister Sun finally decided to grace our yard a visit. If you're thinking about a certain person, nope, not him. LOL!
It's been mostly wet and stormy in the past several days, bed-weather so they say and we literally took those days as such, stayed indoors, slumped either on the couch or on the bed in front of the computer or on our phone screens. Well, mostly the husband's phone screen. We've been watching some series until our eyes felt sore. Quite unhealthy I know...
But we enjoyed them nonetheless.
The stormy days gave us time to do things that we have kind of forgotten due to the husband's busy days going to and from places. A decision he took not so long ago that I couldn't do anything else but give my full support after seeing how he was passionate about it. I guess it's what makes him tick.
Anyway, this morning upon seeing the clear blue skies, I felt like a kid who is excited to play outside the house. And so with my phone in hand, I got out to enjoy Mama Nature's display of her warmth.
The sunshine was yet to reach the valley when I was out the door (first 3 photos on the screenshot below) so I figured I'd brew coffee first and do the basking afterwards.
And I had to make breakfast while the husband snored in bed. He often does our breakfast but I thought he needed more snooze time today so I volunteered, lol!
Then it was time to head out for a little exploration, after we had eaten of course. Like me, the yard is excitedly waiting for the sunshine to come.
While capturing this sight, I heard birds singing.
I looked back... then up and bingo! I knew he'd be right there!
Let's take a closer look. Pardon, my phone camera only zooms 4x and that's the best it could, lol! I should have ordered like that of Tito Ed's favorite toy when I found the dealer but I procrastinated (again).
Anyhow, it was absolutely awesome to hear them sing again. Haven't seen nor heard of them in the wake of the storm. And yesterday was so gusty too so I think they sought shelter elsewhere but I'm just glad they came around again.
Also good to see this Euphorbia Milii or "Christ Thorn" blooming. We got this little branch at the school grounds in the valley and planted it on a recycled plastic cup to see if it survives. It did and these are its first blooms. Guess it's time to transfer it to a bigger pot.
The day is just starting and it's already amazing. I'd be out the yard after publishing this. Gotta bask in the sunshine and enjoy life outdoors too.
