Mango sticky rice is the shit. A statement like this in most cases would be considered opinion. In this case, it's fact. The combination of perfectly ripe mange with glutinous sticky rice, and all topped with a coconut sauce makes for the perfect /dessert/reward/food that on can treat Yoself to!
Whether it's taking a scoop of mango with a little sticky rice then dousing it in coconut sauce and munching on that symphony of tropical flavors, or eating each element on it's own, every bite is an experience and mindfulness of the blessing to be able to eat this wonder in Thailand. It's also filled with a ton of "mmmm"s "oh my goodness dude"s. The fact that they don't usually cost more than a dollar and some change in most places, also adds to it's allure.
In two weeks in Thailand I ate about 25 mango sticky rices, here are a few of my favorites.
