#3dprinting

Get free stuff by doing regular 3D printing hobby things

We are finally getting good rain now and woke yesterday morning to it still pounding down. I managed to time the trip to town for grain just right as I hit a dry spot between rounds of rain in Spokane.

Recently, I've used up most of filaments I bought with the my 3D printer, so I finally decided to try something I had been curious about for a long time: glow-in-the-dark PLA filament! And it turned out

Yesterday morning I found a model to print that is a better bracket for my new headlight for the bike. This one holds it much better than the little clip they provide. I had to print the male Garmin quarter

Yesterday morning I was rooting for Sepp Kuss to win stage 20 of the tour but he blew up in the last 10k and got 3rd after a couple crashes on a downhill. So close! In the greenhouse earlier I trimmed

After the stage was over for the Tour De France I was out the door on a ride. It was about 8:30am when I headed out and it was not horribly warm or smokey yet, thankfully. My bike seemed to know that it

During the heat wave at the end of last month, temperatures here in eastern Germany, where I live, stayed close to 40°C for several days. On the days I was at home, I tried to survive the heat by placing

After making prototypes and testing, my chopstick-making jig is now complete! Last weekend I tested it for the first time at a makers festival in Chemnitz. About 50 people joined the workshop, and together

From last weekend through the holiday Monday, the annual gothic festival WGT (Wave Gotik Treffen) was taking place in my city Leipzig. Amazingly, this year was the 33rd edition. Following last year, when

Printed bottle cages, boys to school, 21 mile trainer ride on coaching plan - last effort ride before 50 miler Sunday, raking, RAIN!, couples session, dinner date. Ready for bed This report was published

3D printers have been part of our home for about a month now. The very first thing I made was a part for a tool used to make chopsticks. After that, I created a few small things to improve everyday life

A while back I used my Bambu Lab A1 3d printer to produce the parts for a 10" rack to house my network gear. I was not quite happy with how the modem was perched on top. The rack is modular so I just

It has been about two weeks since I bought a 3D printer. I’ve been having a lot of fun with it, and I’m really glad I bought it. For years, I had thought it would be fun to have a 3D printer, but I kept

The tour of the alps is rather disgusting to watch the terrain, all I see are paragliding launches. Roads go everywhere but launches are not as easy to find, unless in the Alps. Was a bit surprised not
