Almost 3 weeks since my last #ThoughtfulDailyPost! so I gotta lotta preachiness to catch up on! @Wesphilbin waves the flag for us and has created @thoughtfulposts as the curation account that rewards thoughtful posts. Please share your positive vibes on the blockchain and consider delegating!
Being mindful and thoughtful is a happiness superpower and, in this segment, I share of the positive notions my algorithm fed me this week and match it with some a dusty old 80s classic to go with each.
Suffer is such a strong word but I found it swept aside by the weight of the end of the first sentence. I can't remember ever considering the past and future as nonexistent. The future is inevitable and the past is real but neither really exist? Oh how this changes so many things.
The suffering is real so where is it coming from? A couple places that are otherwise blessings in life. Memory and imagination. I have been pondering the yin and the yang of things and how too much of a good thing has negative effects. As if to add wood to that fire, another couple examples of some things I considered predominantly powerful has a dark edge.
To choose not to suffer our own imaginations and memories surely is something we can control to some extent. That is a good thing for sure.
A Good Thing indeed from the Fine Young Cannibals.
I also love the concept that you win or you learn. Softens the blow of losing when you know it is a learning experience when done right....or wrong as it were. We are all figuring things out as we go as is life....so why not learn boldly?
You can probably prepare to learn in a parked car. It is all in your imagination though until the driving happens, the practicing begins, the succeeding, the failing and the learning. Get those wheels running so your learn your way to success. Sounds simple enough.
Get outta my dreams. Get into my car. Billy Ocean said so.
