I used to run around sticks pretending that they were swords or magic wands chasing down big monsters and dragons.
Where did that spark go? When did I forget how to let my mind wonder off to these miraculous images? My opinion is that life got too busy to use that spark, so it faded away as time went by.
As things stand, I have gone through life working and learning new skills. I have learnt to be systematic in my thoughts which has come with plenty of benefits in my professional and personal life no doubt. All of this is fine albeit it lacks the fire, the drive, the life force that is imagination.
I believe that imagination is simply put our native ability to visualise/perceive something in our minds that doesn’t exist yet or at all. Surely this is a skill as a any, I would like to believe that I can re-learn this process, though it won’t be exactly the same as it was before. I am not the same as I was.
I want to allow myself to use imagination going forwards. This is in a sense is a way of me getting back something the adult life took from me. I wish that you could also partake this journey for yourself.
I believe that we all are meant to create something, the best part is, we decide what and how. This feels so freeing.
Catch you on the next one.
