Hellooooo lovely cat lovers! I hope you all are doing well. I am back again with another post. This time it is a bit different from the others, as this was meant to be a sketch but became a video project. I haven't included all the step-by-step drawings I created, but I have shared the final video and, of course, the initial sketch.
So, it all started with the first image that you see on the cover. I had drawn that, and while I was fidgeting with the tail, I realized it would look really cool if I could animate it. Aaaaand ta-da! Thanks to the creators of ibisPaintX, they have a feature that allows you to create short animations, and I utilized it to the absolute best of my ability. This is actually my very first animation.
I intend to make more in the near future, but let’s see. Interestingly, today as I was scrolling through my YouTube channel, I felt like sharing this with you all. I really enjoyed making the cat dance, especially since it's quite rare to see a cat attempt something like that in real life. Nonetheless, using the timing tools for my first animation was a captivating process. It was definitely time consuming and tiring to an extent, but even though I am already crazy about drawing, seeing my first animation come to life gave me real butterflies in my tummy!
Since art takes up such a large part of my life, using digital tools to make my drawings come alive is another fascinating dimension I'd love to explore more. I was never really into animation, nor was I ever particularly interested in it, but after a sudden spark of an idea and this quick experiment, I am actually liking it a lot.
As cats always make my day and keep me happy throughout the year, I would love to invest more of my imagination into them and try creating something special again soon. I can't make any promises just yet, but I'll definitely keep trying my hand at it.
