🎬 From Solo Leveling to Solo Ambiente | Illustration Process

Hello, Ecency friends! 👋

Today I want to share the process behind an illustration I created as cover art for the first video of a YouTube channel my friends and I are launching together. 🎥😂

The channel will feature parodies of movies and TV series. Our first parody draws inspiration from the anime Solo Leveling, and for this illustration, I wanted to create a humorous take on the concept, resulting in the title "SOLO AMBIENTE"—a playful twist on the anime's name.

Here's the step-by-step process:

🔵 Step 1 — Initial Sketch

I started with quick blue strokes to establish the character's pose, sword, facial expression, and overall composition. The goal was to capture the core idea before diving into details.

🔴 Step 2 — Initial Line Art

Next, I created clean red line art to refine the sketch and define the main shapes of the character, sword, and their positioning more precisely.

✏️ Step 3 — Detailed Line Art

With the structure established, I added all the necessary details to the face, hair, clothing, hands, sword, and other elements.

🎨 Step 4 — Coloring and Background

I brought the scene to life with initial coloring and added the background. Rather than focusing on fine details, I concentrated on establishing the overall lighting and color palette.

🌑 Step 5 — Details and Shading

The illustration began taking shape here. I added shadows and volume to the character and environment, creating depth and dimension throughout the image.

✨ Step 6 — Final Illustration

Finally, I made last-minute adjustments to polish the artwork and refined the lighting and details. I also added the title "SOLO AMBIENTE," creating wordplay that connects the parody concept to the original anime.

This illustration is especially meaningful because it marks the start of an exciting new project with my friends. We're excited to turn these ideas into videos and build a channel where we can have fun creating our own versions and parodies of movies, TV series, and anime. 🎬🤣

What do you think of the final result? Would you like to see how this Solo Leveling parody turns out when we release the video? 🔥🎨
