Why building a better future is important

From my perspective, I want to see things improve as time goes by. I wouldn't necessarily say that this always going to happen in every aspect of life. I am talking mostly about the general direction of life, something I could not do before, becomes possible, a new skill learned, living situation stabilised etc.

Whether the current situation is good or bad, it is always worth going for something even better.

Why it matters to live now.

I had the obsession over going full on for the future to the point where I could not even allow myself to spend a little bit of time and money on something that would make the current day more enjoyable. Everything always had to be about the future. One problem about the future is, it's in the future and not something tangible.

I have been getting better at enjoying the current moment whilst working on improving my own life. The balance is key but the real question is, what does balance even mean?
