Happy day to the whole foodie community! Today I want to share a marbled cake recipe that I made a few days ago to enjoy with Ru during our afternoon coffee breaks. Like many of my other recipes, this version has less sugar because I try to consume as little as possible—but you can always add a little more if you like.

Ingredients:

2 cups self-rising flour
2 eggs
80 grams of butter
1/2 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of milk
For the marbling:
4 tablespoons of cocoa powder

Ingredientes:

2 Tazas de harina leudante
2 huevos
80 gr de mantequilla
1/2 taza de azúcar
1 cucharadita de esencia de vainilla
1/2 taza de leche
Para el marmoleado:
4 cucharadas de cacao en polvo

Preparation:

Place the room-temperature butter and sugar in a bowl and begin beating. Add the eggs one at a time and continue mixing.
Next, add the vanilla extract and milk, and mix everything thoroughly.
Now it’s time for the flour. Add one cup first—preferably sifted through a sieve or strainer to prevent lumps from forming in the batter.
Then add the second cup of flour. It’s important to mix gently in this step using folding motions with a spatula, working slowly to avoid overmixing.

To start the marbling, transfer half of the mixture to another bowl and add the cocoa powder—do this gradually, starting with one tablespoon, then another, and continue until the mixture is uniform. If it seems too thick, just add a splash of extra milk.

Finally, pour everything into a baking dish. If you prefer, you can add a little more butter and flour to prevent the pudding from sticking. Now, place it in the oven and bake for 30–35 minutes at 180° or until the pudding is golden brown and fully cooked in the center. Serve with whatever you like best. Enjoy!
