Hello everyone! I'm back with another Inktober drawing.
The prompt for Inktober Day 11 is 'Rescue'
The first thing that came to my mind is a rescue dog. So I made my decision to draw one for my day 11 prompt. I have the habit of scrolling Pinterest daily and usually I check art posts but suddenly I came across a cute puppy. There was so much of joy in this little guy of sunshine. So I drew that very puppy for my Inktober art. His name is Stanley. I'm not sure if he is a rescue puppy but I just wanted to use his photo as the reference for my drawing.
I started drawing his face first. I didn't want to stop to take pictures unless I completed all the outlines because I was afraid that I might make the wrong estimation of the proportions. I didn't want to break my flow of drawing.
When I was done, I proceeded to add more details and some emphasis on his features. I also tried to recreate his brown coat. The real puppy had both brown and white fur so I was trying to draw that with different shade values of the ink. Isn't he already looking cute with his little tongue sticking out?
Then I drew the rest of his body. He was sitting and I guess he was out in the park on a spring day as he seemed to be on a bench while being surrounded by many flowers. I wanted to keep it simple and focus on the theme so I didn't draw all that.
I darkened some lines all around him. Then, I added a little collar for him with a heart to show that he is a rescue puppy.
I added more shading everywhere like on his face, body and even nose. I also tried to create more fur like outline by drawing tiny little lines all around him. I finally changed his eyes a little with some touch ups because I felt that they seemed a little droopy earlier. I think he turned out so cute almost like the real puppy.
