Hello everyone! Today I thought I should deviate a little from my regular Inktober content this month. I feel like it is a fixed routine and starting to miss posting other kinds of content.

I recently tried a new restaurant for the first time. It is called Sepakat 2 and it is located in Batang Kali. Since I mentioned Sepakat 2, it is natural to assume there is a Sepakat 1 which is the first branch of the restaurant. I did check it out later on another day. It is a restaurant that offers Malay cuisine.

Eating there was not in the plan because we only wanted to pack some lunch for a few Indonesian construction workers or rather our good family friends now since they are always warm and we address each other with family terms. They work very hard so we wanted to get them some lunch. We reached the restaurant at 10.45 am. However, the restaurant staff told us that the current meals were of the breakfast platter and the lunch meals will be set at 11.00 am. So we went in and decided to try some nasi lemak in the meantime.

This is how the front of the restaurant looks. It was quite large actually. The area with the brown bricks is the part where they set up the mixed rice meals with different types of rice and all side dishes such as vegetables, eggs and chicken.

This is the side of the restaurant where the entrance is. We can park our car here and go in.

This is the nasi lemak they offered. It was a basic set with coconut milk rice, sambal, peanuts, cucumber and a full egg. I liked that because it has become a trend now to reduce the egg size. I have even seen one with half the size of my pinky finger. It was probably one eighth of an egg. That tiny thing is not the shell, it is just a tiny speck of chilli.

This is the drink that all of us ordered. Apparently it is a special drink here and many people order it. It is actually lime juice but it looks different in other restaurants. Here, I saw them working in the kitchen and they were making the drink in a blender with the lime. That's why it has a green colour. However it was not too sour or sugary. It was refreshing.

This is basically their menu in display. There were different kinds of nasi lemak and many other food items offered too but we were in a rush that day and wanted to get the lunch packed on time. That's why I have less pictures as well compared to my usual posts. After eating, we noticed the staffs replacing the breakfast meals with the fresh lunch meals as they were done preparing. My parents picked the items and packed some mixed rice and off we went.

Thank you for dropping by and I hope that you have a nice day with a yummy meal.
