Today's comment. How to spend Saturday? In many ways, but only when you shut up. I mentioned recently that I am repairing Babetta mopeds. Yesterday, one of them landed in the backyard and the Saturday program was taken care of. Babetta jednoprdka. So I say model 207, which is a one-speed, compared to 210 or 225. For the owner of an unsolvable failure - gas leak. There was really something wrong with the original carburetor. Gasoline literally crushed. I mean, after I had to clean the fuel tap, because it just released two drops. Right from the sight I knew it wasn't Babetta, but it was from a motorcycle. Disassembling and cleaning with compressed air was a breeze. One of the reasons why gasoline was still flowing was a broken hose and loose joint. It literally squirmed there. After dismantling I was not surprised, the float was so bent. I rejected another fix for this old one. He gave me a new carburetor. Well flowed too. The contact surface of the float chamber was carelessly ground. Cold shutter tongues for cold start from bent, therefore not working. Gradually I tried to fix it. But it wasn't all. Sometimes the engine promised and immediately died. Replacing the spark plug and the pipe was a must. As I approached the finals the sleeve burst. I had red before my eyes. Eventually, I threw this imitation carburetor and put my own in there. And how Babett is farting now.

Jak trávit sobotu? Mnoha způsoby, ale jen když držíte hubu. Nedavno jsem se zmínil, že opravuji mopedy Babetta. Včera mi jedna přistála na dvorku a sobotní program bylo postaráno.
Babetta jednoprdka. Tak říkám modelu 207, který je jednorychlostní, oproti 210 či 225. Pro majitele neřešitelná porucha - únik benzínu. V původním karburátoru bylo opravdu něco špatně. Benzín z něj doslova crčel. Teda, až po tom co jsem musel vyčistit palivový kohout, protože ten pustil tak leda dvě kapky. Hned od pohledu mi bylo jasné, že nepatří k Babettě, ale je z nějaké motorky. Rozebrání a vyčištění stlačeným vzduchem byla hračka. Jedním z důvodů, proč benzín stále tekl byla prasklá hadička a uvolněný spoj. Doslova to tam čvachtalo. Po rozebrání jsem se nestačil divit, plovák byl tak zohýbaný. Další opravu tohoto starého jsem zavrhl. Dal mi k tomu i nový karburátor. No tekl taky. Dosedací plocha plovákové komory byla ledabyle zbroušená. Jazýčky uzávěrky vzduchu pro studený start z ohýbané, tudíž nefunkční. Postupně jsem jej snažil opravit. Jenže to nebylo všechno. Občas motor slíbil a hned chcípnul. Výměna zapalovací svíčky a fajfky byla nutností. Když už jsem se blížil do finále praskla objímka. Měl jsem rudo před očima. Nakonec jsem tuhle napodobeninu karburátoru vyhodil a dal tam vlastní ze svých zásob. A jak si teď Babettka prdí.
