I totally love how thought provoking and specific the #dreemport challenges are. After writing this post where I centred on how I'd like my "ideal/dreem" space to be, I was thrown into thoughts. Although I didn't include it in the post, I began thinking of ways which I could turn my mere 'dream' into a 'dreem'. A few options came to mind.

My dreem space was to contain three major components; enough space, a handsome amount of white colour and natural elements. These three components broadly make up a place where I could see as a safe space. A place where I could operate optimally with no trepidation or agitation.

Many of the activities I partake in on a daily basis are activities that shouldn't be done in a crowded place or better still are activities that I cannot do in crowded places. This is one of the reasons why my dreem space may seem really surreal and tranquillising.

The process to get enough space has been set in motion but it hasn't been very easy. Providing enough space and actually maintaining this space isn't a walk in the park, even for minimalists. However, I would need to finally part way with the old things I have laying aimlessly around.

The good part in all this is that most of the items I plan to part way with are items that could be given out or on a good day, sold out. I gathered most of these items at a particular spot at home and all that's left for me to do is get rid of them in one way or another.

The idea of incinerating them came to mind but this thought was countered by the "what if' thought. 'What if someone out there actually needs these things?'. 'What if you present it to the kids at the orphanage instead?' The big problem is finding the people who actually need them. All things being equal, I may be visiting an orphanage soon.

For the handsome white colours, I thought of repainting my room with white colour but this could cost me a fortune as the prices of items in my country are hiked each day. Also, I know that white coloured walls are hard to maintain but I do not plan on rubbing charcoal on the wall so I think I'd be just fine. Also, for the white decorations, I want to personalise them. By personalise, I mean making them by myself and to my taste.

All through my 'do it yourself' journey, I've come to realise that home decors made by me feel better than the ones I buy. This could be because of the energy and love channelled towards making them. Certainly, I would love to have such positive energy flowing round my space.

For the last component which is the view of natural elements, I certainly wouldn't be able to accomplish it the way I want to and per adventure I try, it would take years. Why? Because one: growing trees isn't done in one day and two: I wouldn't have a clear view of these trees and greens except they are extremely tall ones. Also, I can't create a water fountain (at least not now).

So to set this particular Dreem in motion, I plan on planting a few trees–fruit bearing trees with shade in particular–and some flowers just to see how it goes. While I watch and wait for the natural trees to grow and yield, I could make do with some artificial flowers in the meantime.

If I accomplish all these, then my dream will turn into a dreem. I'm certain it would be an amazing feeling.

Love, Wongi ✨
