Sometimes, I get amazed at the lengths people (who were once lovey dovey) would go to get each other jealous. There is always drama wherever I go and my lodge wasn't different.

Disclaimer: I never have anything to do with the drama.

A week after I moved in, there was this pair of couples (Amos and Mimi) who were already acting like they were married. The thing with love is that there is always one person who loves more. In this case, the guy was the one who loved more. It was like he was being controlled by the girl. No doubt, the girl looked like an idol. Fair, soft skin, fine eyes and all that stuff. Many guys admired her but Amos was the sharp shooter.

After a while, they began having misunderstandings. My room was the last room in the lodge. Hence, I was the one that always suffered when they had misunderstandings. On such day, Amos would be kicked out of the room by Mimi and he would decide to stay outside till dawn(someone that has a very comfy room) . If he just sits quietly outside, I wouldn't have a problem but he doesn't. He comes with his boom box and a playlist with sad songs. Honestly, I felt bad for him most times and I couldn't even complain even if I wanted to. Why on earth would you be disturbing my sleep?

Their 'situationship' continued for months and the funny fact is that he was always kicked out of the room for useless reasons. Things like "you were laughing too much with your colleague, get out!" Or "you know I don't like pepper but you cooked the noodles with so much pepper. You want to kill me, get out!" Likeee😂

All the guys in the lodge literally started begging Amos to leave this girl but Amos said mbanu(no) that it's either her or her, no one else. After so much persuasion and prayer session(hysterically) Amos finally decided to leave the girl.

One week after Amos left, Mimi had another handsome boyfriend in her room. That's was quick and the only valid explanation to that was– she wanted to make Amos feel jealous Sometimes she made me wonder if I was a potato . Amos was really heartbroken by her action and so he decided to move on. Judging from the kind of person he was, we all knew it would be hard for him.

After about a month, Amos found another potential girlfriend and that was when the drama began properly. Mimi still liked Amos but she didn't want to admit it. Whenever Amos' new friend visited the lodge, Mimi's mood would change. She'd get so angry and agitated.

Everyone in the lodge was happy that Amos found a new girl except Mimi of course. On one of those days, Amos went in to carry the pot that he left in Mimi's room. The next thing we heard was shouts. They brought the quarrel outside to the lobby, giving every interested person a chance to take sides😅 . Whenever I see arguments like this, I carry my two left legs as far away as possible.

What was this quarrel about? Amos had mistakenly stepped on her toes because he didn't know she was right behind him in the kitchen. Why was she behind him? They didn't tell us that part. He apologised but Mimi didn't want to hear and from there she began throwing tantrums. Saying all sorts of things that were supposed to be private. Amos didn't make up to three sentences in all this quarrel. He was just quiet and reserved because he knew she was just overreacting.

After the whole display of anger, news reaching everyone was that it was because of jealousy , siuuuu. In the end, they got back together and continued their lovey dovey. That is why it's not good to chirp into people's arguments. You'd end up being the bad person.

With love, wongi ✨
