Today I thought I was going to be able to lift a tall fluted champagne glass after good news from my oncologist, but that didn't happen. In 2011, I had my appendix taken out at the emergency room and they found cancer. I had a portion of my intestine removed so I made sure the margins of my cancer were removed. I didn't have to go through chemotherapy or radiation and continued seeing my oncologist for seven years. Today I found out that I have stage 4 lung cancer, and I'll have my first chemo treatment on April 21st. After my lung biopsy last Wednesday I had a feeling that my cancer was back. I spent the day notifying my friends and family of my diagnosis, so I thought it proper to create a Freewrite about my next journey. Thank you for visiting my posts and God Bless you all!
