Podemos ayudar donando ropa, medicamentos, alimentos u otros objetos a quienes lo necesiten, u organizaciones sociales.
Solidarity is a value that strengthens community bonds and promotes social cohesion. Whenever we offer support and a helping hand to those close to us and those further away, we are showing solidarity—as long as we do not do so without expecting anything in return. We can help by donating clothing, medicine, food, or other items to those in need or to social organizations.
Hay muchas formas de ser solidario, pues cuando buscamos maneras de ayudar, siendo empáticos, generosos, optimistas, cooperativos y apoyando sin esperar, demostramos acciones positivas y sinceras hacia los demás. Es una virtud que no todos poseemos, pero podemos aprender con el ejemplo diario, observando a otras personas ayudar; es la mejor lección.
There are many ways to show solidarity, because when we look for ways to help—by being empathetic, generous, optimistic, cooperative, and supportive without expecting anything in return—we demonstrate positive and sincere actions toward others. It’s a virtue that not all of us possess, but we can learn from daily examples by watching others help; that’s the best lesson.
En estos tiempos difíciles para nuestro país, donde enfrentamos una de las tragedias más devastadoras, como la dupleta de sismos 24/6, hemos visto la solidaridad presente, en donde muchas naciones se han sumado en la búsqueda de personas y animales con vida debajo de los escombros, sin importar los peligros, ni la nacionalidad, solo por ayudar, pues no hay nada más valioso que salvar vidas. No solo los extranjeros, pues los venezolanos han demostrado ser unidos y únicos cuando se trata de ser solidarios y se han sumado a apoyar.
In these difficult times for our country, as we face one of the most devastating tragedies—the twin earthquakes of June 24—we have witnessed a spirit of solidarity, with many nations joining the search for people and animals still alive beneath the rubble, regardless of the dangers or nationality, simply to help, because there is nothing more valuable than saving lives. It’s not just foreigners—Venezuelans have also shown themselves to be united and exceptional when it comes to showing solidarity, and they have joined in to offer their support.
Por otro lado, hemos sido solidarios desde la distancia, pues todos los estados hemos estado orando por lo sucedido; también hemos donado ropas y alimentos que han sido llevados a los centros de acopio de cada estado venezolano. Qué hermoso es ser solidario y ver a tantas personas sumadas a esto, pues cuando hay eventualidades trágicas, de dolor, de angustia, hay esperanza, calma cuando esas cargas son compartidas y recordamos que no estamos solos ante la tormenta.
On the other hand, we have shown solidarity from afar, as all of our states have been praying for those affected; we have also donated clothing and food, which have been delivered to collection centers in each Venezuelan state.
