!
Warm greetings to all the members of this wonderful #spablog community. Last weekend, I attended a very special event sponsored and organized by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of Venezuela, Sucre Chapter at the Andrés Eloy Blanco Birthplace, a musical event for all ages. So I went with my husband in the morning, since the organizers are close friends of ours, and we’ve enjoyed their events on many occasions. This event is held at the end of every month, although due to various situations that have arisen in my country, it had been suspended.
First, there was the city’s water crisis, as the Turimiquire Dam suffered a collapse, causing a shortage of this precious and essential resource since February; although the situation has improved, the water problem persists. Then there was the natural disaster caused by the twin earthquakes on June 24, and the entire country was praying for all the victims who suffered from this disaster.
A few months later, on Saturday, August 29, the foundation resumed its activities—carried out in partnership with the Andrés Eloy Blanco Birthplace—to enjoy songs from yesterday and today in a joyful setting for sharing with family and friends.
Music is considered vital to human life; it activates nearly the entire brain because it functions as a universal language of expression, reduces stress, brings people together, and improves social well-being. After a welcome from the entire organizing team, the performances began with singer Damys Velázquez performing Venezuelan music, followed by her merengue songs that got everyone moving; then singer Minu Fayad took the stage, and other musicians joined in to liven up a fun-filled morning. The event ended at 12:00 p.m. where everything went perfectly as we shared moments of joy—especially for the grandparents—always emphasizing that music is vital for everyone.
That's it for my adventurers, thanks for reading.
