Sorry guys and gals, but it's another boring blog about me trying to teach 1/2pint that nature is a wonderful thing and supermarkets aren't always the answer.

YES EVERYONE, IT'S BLACKBERRY PICKING SEASON

It's time to combine 2 of my favourite things to do:

1- spend some QT with my boy
2- not spend any fiat currency (money)

⬆️ the face I make when I think about spending money on fruit I can pick for free.

After picking 1/2pint up from school, it was time to head to my "secret" spot and fill our box with juicy blackberries.

After showing him the ones we need to pick and that he should avoid the thorns, I set him on his way

It's great, I thought. Twice the hands = half the time to fill our box.... What I didn't realise was that my little helper was helping himself to the best ones!

Well we had a good laugh together. It's funny to think he's only 3 but can still come up with some conversations and crack a few great jokes. This kid is definitely special!! 🤣😂

I'll get these home, get them washed and then frozen. Ready for the next lot and to make a lovely blackberry flan. But I'll show you that another day.
