This is one of the coolest concept of a cafe or a bar I have ever been to. It's called 'Rangnok cafe and bar' actually and Rangnok basically means 'Bird nest'. First I heard about it, I thought it was just a name but turned out, it's a concept!
The place located on an island and just right by river. There are chilling zone with all the music and dj by the river and there are also a lot of this bird-nest-looking table on the top floor. Each table has its own nest so you somewhat have some privacy. I think that's super cool! Love the decoration overall as well. It's pretty clean and natural with the white color contrasts with the wooden color from bamboo, hay and other dried leaves.
We got there a little late like, around 8 pm so it's almost completely dark already. There are 2 ways to get to the place, either by foot (if you stay on the island) or by boat, if you come from the land. We were on foot as our accommodation was just next door. Not gonna lie, it's a little scary walking to the place at night as it's like a few minutes off the road and on the trail when it's dark out, I was so scared of animals like snake, and other things that might be venomous but it was all good.
The music was great! There are a few DJs switching during our visit. The breeze from the river was nice. The food, shall we? We ordered just a few dishes as we're not all that hungry so, got stir-fry spicy vermicelli, fried pork with garlic and chilis, and fried rice. All were quite delicious. Our favorite is that fried pork with garlic and chilis though. All these with a tower of draft beer, really brought out great vibes.
Top-notch view, great concept and the vibe is great as well! All the decoration is pretty! I think this is sure great a place to hang out with family and friends and I sure recommend you check it out if you ever around Pak Kred area or even around Bangkok! (it's not that far from each other :))
