I have been eating a lot of Pomegranate lately so it brought me to question it more deeply.

Apart from enjoying this beautiful crimson fruit with its luscious tasteful juice.
I didn't know much about it only that it is rich in Vitamin C.
While I was observing the shape, I realised that the word grenade placed on the hand grenade came from the french version of Pomegranate aka Pomme Grenade.
The fruit originated in the Middle east & was wide spread throughout the Mediterranean & India.
The Egyptians & Indians symbolised it as the fruit of prosperity & ambition.
In Ayurveda, it is a fruit used in many remedies & widely used in India while fasting.
What is great about this fruit is that it is versatile when cooking.
We can use it in salads, juices, curry & to garnish dishes such as Baba Ganoush (eggplant relish)
