Thomas Carlyle: “Nature alone is antique, and the oldest art a mushroom.” 🍄

Good day, Hivers!! A wonderful day to all of you...

Early this morning, I went out to the backyard to rake the fallen leaves, but I discovered something else. There were tiny cream colored mushroooms growing between a plastic container and a rotting branch. I tried to check online, and the closest I could find is Baeospora myosura (please correct me if I'm wrong on this).

According to Google, they are known to grow in North America or in Europe; they grow on fallen conifer cones, that's why they were given the name conifercone caps. Studies show they also grow in some regions in the Philippines, and they grow on rich soil and decaying organic matter.

I tried to take the plastic container covering them. The stems were very long and extended under the container. I don't know if these are edible, and I have no plans to eat them, so I just left them there. 😁

I continued cleaning the backyard and didn't check on them.
