This is my first post on Tasteem and for my first post, I would like to share about a restaurant where me and my family will gather and have breakfast together. Why this place is so special to me? Well, we normally don't really eat breakfast (we'd prefer brunch instead) but when it comes to Dim Sum, somehow it brings all the family together into one table.
New WK Restaurant is a well-known restaurant in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for their wide varieties of dim sum - from the hot and steamy types to the deep fried ones.
Prawn Siu Mai
Since Dim Sum is always linked to the traditional Chinese tea house in Hong Kong, the influence of interior design is set like a Chinese restaurant where wooden craving are used as decorations and lanterns are hanging to give you the feeling that you are in one of those restaurants in HK.
This restaurant is always packed on weekends and public holidays even though it has two floors of dining areas.
Every time I'm having my breakfast here, I will never fail to order the salted egg yolk custard bun. It is so rich and buttery but also delicious and hard to resist.

This restaurant also served fried noodles and fried rice just to give more options to their customers.
I've been to so many dim sum restaurants in Kota Kinabalu but so far, nothing can beat the New WK Restaurants. This is a great place to hang out with your families or with your friends. The services are good and the staffs are very attentive and fast.
