HELLO COMUNITY!
The origin of Linzer Cookies is Austria, the city of Linz in the early 1700s being one of the oldest cookies named after a place. The cookies have the same ingredients as Linzertorte, only presented in a different way. Linzer Cookies are a holiday treat in the Austrian, Swiss and German tradition, often eaten at Christmas🍪.
Because I couldn't wait for Christmas to eat some cookies i made them last week.

INGREDIENTS

  • 175g butter🧈
  • 100g sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 265g flour
  • 1/8tsp salt
  • 1/2tsp cinnamon

That's how it should look like

  • Shape the dough into 2 disks so it will cool quicker, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate them for 30 minutes.

  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface.Make half of them with holes and the other half without holes.

I chose heart and mushroom ❤🍄

  • Bake them at 180°C for 10 minutes.

  • On the cookies without holes spread jam.

  • Dust the top halves of the cookies with powdered sugar, then carefully place them on the top of the jam-covered bottoms.
