If you have had the opportunity to watch a marathon, you will have noticed the great effort each runner makes to finish the race. Some go to the front, knowing their physical and mental ability to finish among the first. Others, more conservative, keep a more leisurely pace, keeping in mind that their goal is not to win, but to finish the race in the best time possible, according to their circumstances.

But, there is another group of people who are really essential for the race to take place in the best possible way. A group of people who, if they are not present during the development of the marathon, it could hardly be carried out. They are those extras, to call them in some way, which are vital for its realization. And it is totally true what the theme of this publication says, not everyone can run, but you can be of great help to help those who do run to do it in the best way. And from these extras, I have been inspired for this reflection.

First of all, there are those who directly support the runners, giving them everything they need, whether it is hydration or some other element of direct support.

Then there are the organizers, who take care of all the necessary gear so that runners only have to worry about running. They use technology to ensure that each runner enjoys the best possible experience.

And a third group: the fans. They use signs and words of encouragement to help runners keep going, to not give up in the face of fatigue or the difficult task ahead. There are even those who shout at the top of their lungs words of encouragement for those who are giving it their all along the course.

All of these groups are of great value, as are those who provide security and support in other ways. In the end, it is a collection of people needed to make the race run as smoothly as possible. Now, it's time to reflect a bit on all that goes into a race.

Let's talk about those who provide direct support. Many times we want to accomplish a goal, but circumstances do not allow us to do so at the moment. However, instead of standing idly by, we can help others to achieve their personal goals, providing them with everything we can to help them reach their objective. That will give us a lot of satisfaction and, most likely, we will have the support of those people when our time comes.

Now let's think about those who organize the race. They are essential for each runner to be able to run with a lot of peace of mind. And we, in offering help to those who want to achieve their dreams, can also do much more, using our knowledge and skills to make the journey to the finish line as easy as possible. Because it's not about competition, it's about giving as much support as possible.

And just as fans use every available means to offer words of encouragement, we can help others reach their goals by giving them encouragement and praise every day, with words and actions to keep them going. Let them know that they are not alone and that we are confident that, if they keep going, they will succeed in making their dreams come true. Because although not all of us can run, we can be of great help so that those who are in the race can reach the finish line.

Reflection: In truth, this analogy can be used in many areas of our lives. It is very important to know how to recognize when our circumstances do not allow us to do something we want to do, but without forgetting that there will always be something we can do. And, if we put our hands to work, we could be of great help to others.
