To make this delicious taco dip, I just expanded on the simple cream cheese dip I’ve been making for years. The base is light cream cheese (also called neufchatel), greek yogurt, salsa and taco seasoning…and you could seriously just stop there if you wanted to. But to make it even better, layer shredded lettuce, fresh shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomato, olives, green onions and avocado. All of the toppings are optional depending on your personal preferences.

*. * 1 (8-ounce) package 1/3 less fat Philadelphia Cream Cheese, at room temperature
*. * 1 1/2 cups salsa, homemade or store-bought
3/4 cup light fat sour cream
*. * 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
*. * 1 1/2 cups shredded romaine lettuce
*. * 2 Roma tomatoes, diced
*. * 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
*. * 1/4 cup sliced black olives
*. * 1/4 cup tortilla strips
#DIRECTIONS#
1 In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat cream cheese, salsa, sour cream and taco seasoning on medium-high until well combined, about 1-2 minutes.
