It is probably a developing area. Or maybe it's an abandoned land.

In the near future, interplanetary travel is possible through dimensional portals.
Planets with Earth-like environments were equipped with portals. On planets with less developed environments, portals were placed on wastelands.
On a bright sunlit afternoon, Olivia wanted to venture to another planet.
Standing in front of a portal close to her home, she specified a planet and tried to "connect." Once connected, she bravely stepped through the portal. Once she was through, she stood on the portal, placed her right hand on the portal, looked around the planet, and contemplated lifting one foot and crossing over completely.
I thought to myself, 'This is undeveloped territory. Should I cross over? Or should I turn back?'
Olivia pondered.
The decision didn't take long and she stepped on the planet.
She became the planet's first civilian traveler.
Since then, many have traveled through the dimensional portal and many more have settled here.
The planet became developed, roads were made, buildings were erected, and it was now called the Second Earth.
