I am a real beer lover I choose beer above other alcohol beverages like Whiskey or wine. I also love special beers, I can really enjoy a real good beer and experience the flavor and taste like a good wine.
In this post I will name some beers which I like very much, they are in random order.
Grimbergen Dubbel
This beer is one of my all time favorites. It is a abbey bear brewed by original traditional recipe. The color of the beer is a ruby-deep-red color and the taste is a little bitter with caramel sweetness. I often buy me a six pack for the weekend, enjoying it watching a movie or typing my steem post :). You also have this beer on draft, then it is even better. Whenever we come to a bar or restaurant where the have Grimbergen on draft..... Count me in :).
Texels Skuumkoppe
Texels Skuumkoppe is a beer brewed on one of the Islands of Holland Texel. I first drank this beer when we were on holiday at Texel and was instantly hooked. It's a full body beer with a fruity taste. This beer has won a golden medal in the Dutch Beer challenge 2017. The Texel brewery has many more beers from the island, but this one is really a great beer. Just like Grimbergen there is a draft version but in our surroundings you won't find it often. but every now and then I buy a couple of bottles, just to enjoy.....
Grolsch beer
Grolsch Premium beer is one of the most popular beers in Holland, together with Heineken.
In Vorden (where we live) almost everyone (who drinks beer) drinks Grolsch. It is a bit of a tradition because Grolsch originally came from Groenlo (Grolsch is a expression for Groenlo) not far from here. So it came from the local villages, it's common that everybody drinks this brand. :)
Hertog Jan Grand Prestige
Hertog Jan is also a dutch beer. The brewery is located in the south of Holland, in Arcen. when I was in middle school we visited the brewery with our class. at that time the brand wasn't as famous as it is now. Grand Prestige is a heavy beer, it hold's 10% of alcohol, and that's quiet some for a beer. You dont't drink this beer on a very low temperature, about 8 or 10 degrees celcius. I really like to drink this one when I am sitting in the garden on a late summer evening...enjoying the silence...the beer... the view...
I could mention a lot more other beers but then it wouldn't be favorites anymoren does it :)
These beers are really my favorites.. Whenever we have a drink somewhere I always ask if they server one of these.... Only with the Grand prestige you have to watch out because of the alcohol percentage... One time we were on a terras together with some friends of ours and drank Grand Prestige all afternoon... By the time we left and I left my chair..... I was a bit out of ballance :)
