I join in the celebration of International Coffee Day, which was celebrated on October 1. A few days have passed, but I'm sure many of us are still toasting with our coffees.

For this celebration, I made myself an iced coffee that caught my eye on social media a few days ago, even though I wasn't even looking for coffee recipes. So, I can say that this recipe found me, and as you can see, it motivated me.

And I really liked it too!

According to online sources, this iced coffee went viral during the pandemic, but to be honest, I wasn't familiar with it. I prefer hot coffee, although iced coffee has its charms too. And this one was no exception.

The recipe consists of preparing a cream with instant coffee, water, and sugar. My proportions were 2 tablespoons of instant coffee, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of water—the same amount of coffee and water, with sugar to taste.

These ingredients must be beaten until frothy. Many say you can do this with a hand mixer, others say it's useless to do it that way, and others say to shake the ingredients in a bottle, although it can be difficult to get it out afterwards 🙄

As for me, I'm lucky to have the electric mixer my mother gave me. In about 5 minutes, my coffee cream was ready.

Time to serve coffee...

A few ice cubes, half a cup of cold milk, coffee cream on top, and, as a true chocolate lover, a little cocoa powder for decoration... And also for flavor, of course.

The iced coffee is ready to be admired first, because to drink it, you'll have to stir it.

I prepared this iced coffee to accompany my dinner, a couple of stuffed arepas that we love so much in those parts.

I really liked this iced coffee, I almost drank it all at once but it was getting close to nighttime. I drank half and blended the rest with a banana and put it in the freezer. Tomorrow I'll have some coffee and banana ice cream, another recipe that never disappoints 😉preparación que no decepciona 😉
