Luis is completely exhausted. He's been walking for who knows how many hours and still can't find the exit.

"It's this damn fog's fault," Luis muttered.

It happened so quickly. Luis inadvertently reached a foggy area while wandering through the forest. He didn't mind at first because the fog wasn't too heavy, but as he continued, the fog thickened.

Luis tries to retreat to get out of the fog because he fears becoming lost if he goes any further, but he can't find the way back. He was disoriented.

"I need to rest," Luis thought to himself after spotting a large enough rock to sit on.

Luis took a sip from his water bottle. He felt revitalized as he felt the water go down his throat.

"Where should I go next?" As he studied his surroundings, Luis wondered.

He became aware of a dim light from a distance. "What's that?" Luis stood up and gazed intently at the dim light, mumbling a query.

"Is that real?" Luis questioned. "Could there be someone else here?"

Luis wasn't sure if what he was seeing was real or an illusion, but he's willing to take the chance simply to get out of his current situation.

Luis hurriedly put the water bottle inside his backpack and began walking towards the light, eager at the idea of getting out and potentially meeting other hikers.

Not long after, he noticed a wooden cabin with lights shining through its windows.

"I had no idea there was a cabin here," Luis stated, surprised to find a cabin in the woods.

Despite his reservations, Luis knocked on the cabin's door and inquired whether anyone was home. Soon after, the door opened and an ordinary-looking old man emerged.

"Hello, sir," Luis began. "My name is Luis. I got lost while hiking through the woods and ended up here."

Before responding, the old man looked at Luis with interest. "You appeared fatigued," he said. "Why don't you go inside and rest?"

Luis paused for a moment before nodding. Despite his reservations, Luis believed the old man was not a threat.

"Here," the old guy replied, handing Luis a cup of warm coffee. "This will get you warmed up."

"Thank you," Luis responded, taking the cup and sniffing the coffee.

"You're probably looking for an exit," the old man said after a brief thought. "However, I recommend you wait until the fog clears."

Luis consented to the old man's offer and spent the night at the cabin. The next day, he awoke to find himself lying on the ground with his belongings beside him, the cabin and the old man not in sight.

Looking around, he observed that the fog had lifted and that he was near the entrance of the forest, which added to his confusion. Despite his confusion, Luis was relieved that he was no longer lost and could return home.

"Just what happened to me?"

Luis took one more look at the forest before leaving. Everything that had happened to him had been strange. He's not sure whether it was real, an illusion, or a dream.
