A young man named Dave wanted to make an impact in his community. He knows that water has been a regular challenge for his people. He decided to see if he could manufacture a machine that can pump water.
He started by gathering metal scraps which he melted and fabricated to a machine. At first people laughed at the idea but he was not deterred at all. His father kept encouraging him though.
He managed to build one machine which he wasted no time to test run. The machine started and dropped. It was later discovered that sit had developed engine problem. Dave was demoralized.
The next day he picked up the machine, dismembered it and started all over again. This time the machine picked up but could not pump the water. Dave later found out that it has not capacity to pump. He dismantled it immediately.
Dave became more worried but his dad kept encouraging him. He went over to the machine and reworked it. This time it worked with great speed. People gained him and the father was happy for him too.
Sometimes failure can lead one to success the father told him. Form that day that phrase became Dave's passing remark to anyone struggling to achieve a certain goal.
