✨🍰🍊¡Hello food loving friends! I hope you are super well on this day.🍊🍰✨

I hope everyone has had a great week and have a very restful weekend. On this occasion, to accompany your weekend, I share a delicious orange cake. For a long time I wanted to prepare this delicious sponge cake, this idea arose because a while ago I prepared a lemon sponge cake and I thought: -why not prepare an orange sponge cake. However, the lemon one was not bad, although it was not entirely to my liking either.

After trying this orange cake, I can say that it is among my top 5 favorite cakes, personally I love the orange flavor and in the cake you can appreciate the sweet taste, but also a little sour. The cake was actually quite spongy and somewhat moist, that is why I will show you the step by step so that it remains as I prepared it.

🔸Next, I leave you with the step by step:

🍊 PREPARACIÓN | 🍊 PREPARATION

- PASO 1:

- 1 STEP:

I started by adding the 100 grams of butter in a deep bowl and began to beat, until the butter took on a softer consistency and became a whitish color. Then, I added the 300 grams of sugar and mixed, until the sugar is fully incorporated and dissolved along with the butter.

📌It is ideal to beat the butter for approximately 5 minutes, it is quite important, since this is what helps us to make our cake quite spongy, due to all the air we obtain when bringing the butter to this point.

- PASO 2:

- 2 STEP:

At this point, I started to incorporate the 4 eggs and I was mixing one by one.

📌 In this step, we can still beat hard, as I said, what we want is to get enough air to make the cake fluffy, so you can mix with an electric mixer to speed up the process or with a paddle in the traditional way, but with a little bit of speed.

- PASO 3:

- 3 STEP:

Then, I was adding the 500 grams of flour in parts together with the interspersed orange juice, that is, one part of flour, mixed and one part of the orange juice, until finishing with these ingredients. If the flour you are using is not self-rising flour, add 1 heaped teaspoon of baking powder.

📌It is extremely important to keep in mind that in this step the ingredients are mixed in an enveloping way, since we are working with heavy ingredients and if we beat vigorously or with an electric mixer, all the work done to obtain air in our mixture will be completely lost.

- PASO 4:

- 4 STEP:

Once all the ingredients are mixed, grease and flour the mold, pour the cake mixture and place in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour. Remove from the oven, let cool for about 20 minutes, unmold and decorate, in my case, sprinkle a little icing sugar and place some orange slices in the middle.

📌Remember that if you don't have icing sugar, you can simply add the amount of sugar in the blender, turn on and that's it.
