An elder monkey recounted Wukong's downfall, charging the Destined One with gathering Wukong's six scattered relics. Beginning Chapter One on Black Wind Mountain, the new protagonist burst from a sacred fruit, then Ifought off wolf warriors, offered a hair at a glowing shrine, and approached the Guanyin Temple.
An old monkey sat before the younger troop, recounting the myth of the Monkey King while pointing toward an ancient stone on the mountain, claiming Wukong's remains had rested inside it for countless days.
The scene introduced a young monkey, the new playable character, known throughout the realm as the Destined One, who is tasked with recovering the six lost senses and relics of Wukong.
The elder monkey explained that one destined warrior among them must gather Wukong's scattered relics and return them to Mount Huaguo to spark his rebirth, officially launching Chapter One: Black Cloud, Red Fire.
Shifting to a dense forest, several wolf warriors gathered around a strange fruit to eat it, only for the Destined One to burst out from inside the fruit, taking the enemies by surprise.
Since the introductory fight against Erlang did not serve as a standard tutorial, this encounter with the wolf soldiers provided a hands-on combat lesson, allowing me to practice basic staff light and heavy attacks.
Pushing further into the woods, I encountered stronger wolf variants carrying heavier weapons, but I quickly eliminated them using fluid staff combos and dodges.
Reaching a little shrine deeper in the forest, a voice instructed the Destined One to pluck a strand of hair as an offering; upon doing so, dead branches surrounding the shrine burst into vibrant floral bloom.
An old man, the Keeper of Black Wind Mountain, appeared before the Destined One, explaining he had been awaiting his arrival and sharing how the nearby Guanyin Temple had once been bustling with worshippers before its destruction and rebuild.
At mid-conversation, the Keeper noticed a flock of birds suddenly taking flight in panic, so he sensed danger. Before vanishing into smoke, he warned that while the Destined One might have forgotten this realm, its dark forces had not forgotten him.
Entering the Forest of Wolves area filled with roaming enemies, I picked off wolf guards one by one while spotting a large rat-like creature that sprinted away upon detecting my presence.
Attempting to pursue the fleeing creature, I was blocked by invisible boundaries within the map layout, so I paused along the shallow riverbed to capture a scenic photo of the environment.
Advancing toward the Guanyin Temple grounds, I came across a massive, imposing mini-boss guarding the entrance. As the giant turned his glare toward me, I paused to take a screenshot before engaging in battle.
All the pictures are take by me, from my gameplay. I took help from the internet for some words/names/locations used in this post.
