Awakening skeleton statues attacked me, but I defeated them using immobilize before exploring a swamp with a grand waterfall. While dodging exploding frog monsters, a giant frog boss overpowered me due to low gourd charges and poison build-up, which sent me back to the Snake Trail shrine.
It was time to continue my journey. I noticed some statues nearby, only to discover they were not statues at all when they awakened right after spotting me. They looked like weird monsters waiting to attack.
After stunning one of them with my immobilize ability, I took it down real fast and realized it wouldn't be too hard to handle them. I performed really well against the rest and defeated them quickly, seeing that they were once soldiers who became skeletons.
After taking them down, I continued walking forward through a door without knowing what was waiting for me ahead. I immediately noticed a big, beautiful waterfall as I kept moving forward.
While exploring the swamp area, I spotted something massive up ahead while tiny frog monsters attacked me. I pushed toward the big one, dodging another tiny frog's attack at the last second with a perfect dodge.
I made sure to maintain my distance whenever I took them down because I knew they would explode and deal damage.
Suddenly, the giant frog I had been focusing on lunged forward to attack me.
The giant frog started attacking heavily, so I used my ready immobilize ability to stun it right away and began striking back.
I knew bringing it down would be tough since I didn't have enough health left in my gourd, and the tiny frogs kept attacking me at the same time. I tried my best to land perfect dodges to stay alive, but the monster was dealing too much damage.
In the end, it took me down. I was sent all the way back to the shrine at the Snake Trail. It was then I understood that exposure to poison built up the poison gauge, and when maxed out, it resulted in a poisoned state with continuous health loss.
I realized I would have to use specific medicines on my way ahead if I want to survive fighting those monsters.
