I have been procrastinating about important things I should have done, it could be because of a lack of knowledge or so.
I will rewrite it this way. I let go of certain things because of misinformation and a bit of pressure. After getting the full information and awareness about the program I have decided to do it again and this time around taking full responsibility for it.
One great thing I look forward to achieving before the year runs out concerns my education. After not being given admission by the university to study Nursing Science, I have decided to go back to starting the school of Nursing Program. The substitute or available courses I was asked to change to were Human Nutrition and Dietetics or Micro-biology.
At some point, I felt desperate to give in to the substitute just because I didn't want to stay at home again due to certain issues. But at some point, I doubted liking the course I would be switching to. There was pressure from people as well, things like, " It's still the same medical field, you can still work in the hospital", all those kinds of talks. It didn't settle well and if I had taken that step I wouldn't have ended well because I would have been living in regrets while studying it.
I am in no way trying to condemn these courses but then my dream has always been about me having a life with kids and helping them medically. My dream has always been delivering pregnant women their babies, and taking care of the babies even till they grow into bigger children. I wasn't gonna find this in Nutrition and dietetics, nor microbiology.
I spoke to a coach, a Nurse, and a senior one whose present job is also advising and directing young people with my dream. The session was quite impactful and she cleared all my doubts. Now let's go back to the topic of the day.
I have started making preparations for the School of Nursing and Midwifery. This program lasts for three years, thereafter you get your degree and then choose to further your BSc or master's or get a job.
My aim before the year runs out is to pick up the Nursing Form, prepare Earnestly, write their exams, and commence my Three-year nursing program. It's a big goal and I would be the happiest person on earth if I can achieve this, this year. It's four months to the end of the year and my dream is achievable only if I put my mind and energy into it.
