Dreams, goals, and so on are what we have had since our childhood. Everyone of us wants to be something. We have figured out everything we want to be as a kid, we have a timetable for everything, and we believe that once we grow up, everything will fall in place.
But life has gotten another plan for each and every one of us. When we are still children, we have a plan to finish secondary school as early as we can. In fact, I and my friends plan so many things together; I plan to finish secondary school at age 15, 16, or years. Get to university at worst 17 years, then back then I wish to study law, which is six years in the university school plus the law school, then finish at age 23 years old, go to service immediately for one year, and finish at the age of 24 years old. Get a good job at the age of 25 years old. Then get married at age 26, then do
my master's, and in the long run have children.
In fact, at some point I got it figured out that I want to learn some tech skills since I will be earning enough already. Some of my friends even plan to be a judge, some plan to be in the military, some want to be a pilot, and so on, like that. Who knows that life already has what it's planned for each and every one of us already?
It all began when I entered secondary school. I finished at the age that is different from what I planned; after that I wrote Jamb and couldn't meet up with the university I wanted to go to. I ended up going to college instead of university and ended up studying another course entirely. As if that wasn't enough, after graduation I had to go to another university, and then I had already passed the age I planned to graduate. Spent another 4 years there.
Coupled with some strikes, the school is giving us that is adding to the year we are supposed to graduate. Studied another course in the university again. Do I have a choice? Of course not; I'm only following what life throws at me. At the end of everything I spent ten good years in the university and the college couple with Strike and so on.
Remember I wanted to be a lawyer? Believe me now, my way, those not even going in line with the law. Now I'm in the sport line. And yes, it is part of my dream, absolutely yes. But I know that wasn't the initial plan.
But then do we really have time? Time doesn't wait for anyone. If you set a plan and life throws something else at you, then we should embrace it and move with what life has to offer. The point is no one is seeing the future, and no one knows tomorrow we might set plans, and circumstances set in, and at the end of everything we might not be able to achieve the plans.
So in summary, don't wait for the time because time won't even wait for you; whatever comes with life, we should get along with it. Even though some people will set plans and still achieve the plans, not everyone will. In short, we should get along with what life throws at us.
