Al momento de colorear siempre empiezo por el color base, el cual estoy acostumbrado a que sea un tono muy claro para luego ir oscureciendo donde podrían ir las sombras del mismo color y así sucesivamente.

Aunque posee pocos colores, el vinotinto de su chaqueta, el cual a mi opinión hace resaltar todo su diseño.

Y el color de sus ojos son el centro de atencion y foco de el espectador es por eso que me centro mas en esos 2 aspectos.

A digital avatar is a graphic representation, a 2D or 3D character that identifies us in virtual environments, representing our identity or how we want to project ourselves in video games, social media, or online platforms.

This led me to take on this challenge of creating my friend @nattosenpai's avatar. After much discussion about tastes and references, I got to work.

I started by sketching the character's anatomy, as he decided it would be the same as his Hive profile, but with a different pose because it wasn't possible to get or create one to his liking. So, with a blank sheet of paper and using references as a guide, I made a proposal that we ended up liking.

In this proposal, the design would be 2D and anime-style, so I'm going to limit myself to adding very exaggerated details and try to make it as anime-like as possible.

When we finish the outline, we erase everything so we can paint and the color doesn't smudge, and we are careful so the drawing doesn't wrinkle. I secure it with tape to prevent any movement.

COLORING

• An extra step that I don't usually mention or publish, but I always do, is digitizing the pencil sketch where I can correct or improve certain details that I didn't like or that I could change. This is how I take a photo and transfer it to the Paint tool sai program and begin tracing the sketch.

Here I'm highlighting those little details that add to the design, like the headphones, the jacket, and the cell phone.

When coloring, I always start with the base color, which I'm used to using as a very light shade, then darken where the shadows of the same color would go, and so on.

Although there are few colors, the burgundy of his jacket, which in my opinion makes the entire design stand out, is the color of his eyes.

And the color of his eyes is the center of attention and focus for the viewer, which is why I focus more on those two aspects.
