Remnants of a strong tropical storm has been hitting the area with torrential rain and brutal winds with a few periods of sun and conditions fit for a run.
My first mile was a steady climb right into a strong headwind that really slowed my pace but soon enough my route turned away from the wind and I could cruise along for the next 3 mile loop.
Unfortunately the return stretch was once again uphill and back into that rain soaked wind.
The final mile was tough but again my running is getting better as I clos to 5 weeks from the Fat Ox 24 hour USATF ultramarathon where I hope to get close to (or better???? 馃馃馃) 100 miles.
Time will tell.
