Just a busy day here in Spearfish as were finished the season at the hatchery yesterday evening - another wonderful experience up in the beautiful northern Black Hills.
We all were up early so Lulu and I set off on our morning loop around the area and hatchery. Lots of squirrels, deer and turkeys taking advantage of the empty campground to gather up the plentiful nuts for the upcoming winter.
My run was a great 6 miles onthe bike trails and recreational path for one last circuit before heading off. These trails have been a great addition to the local area and it was fun to watch them be developed and I was one of the first people to take advantage of them this Summer.
I'll miss the hatchery and the area a lot but we'll be returning in April so till then it's been a great season
