It was a beautiful day to end my week but unfortunately my body didn't feel up to much of a challenge.
I just felt stiff and my legs were very sore so my run was a trial to do. At least I wad able to put in some ok miles but it was a struggle and I just had no drive in me. My route was my usual flat loop with a mile or so on the dirt for a little variety but it is getting tedious to run the same roads every day.
At least Lulu and I had a hardy afternoon hike in the Prescott National Forest to check out some gold claims on the Hassayampa River. A deep valley with a steep mile hike to get to the rather shallow river.
Fortunately the elevation and tall pines provided us with some relief from the heat but it wad still a lot of hard work-especially the long and hard trek back up the trail to our car.
Good thing it wasn't far to get home.
We're both so tired that I didn't feel like any sort of evening walk. So a nice shower and bed will be great.
馃尣馃尣馃尣Tomorrow we'll be off to the forest again馃尣馃尣馃尣
Goodnight all.
