A wonderful day to be outdoors and a happy Thanksgiving to all my Actifit friends out there. 馃榾馃榾馃榾馃榾馃榾馃榾馃榾
As I had planned, I was able to get up early and drive over to the Peavine rail trail and join the many people out to enjoy the sunny but cool morning on this easy trail. No fee to park so off I went. It's a great level rail trail that goes through the beautiful geological formations known as the Granite Dells. Lots of great views as I ran a relatively easy pace (My legs were happy to put in some relaxed bit longer miles).
Even saw a javelina and a few mule deer alongside the trail today as well ad the sweet chirps of the many birds in the trees and shrubs. The sad part wad to see how much the water level has dropped since my run here in May. One of the driest summers in many decades and the idiots in the local government want to give MORE water for development here!!!
Oh well, this is the southwest where the government is corrupt and the citizens mostly morons.
An easy walk with Lulu in the afternoon so she could burn off those extra Thanksgiving calories and get a little bit fit.
