Felt pretty good today after another long weekend of driving rescues dogs across northern Arizona.
At least my back and sciatica weren't too bothersome after very early ride and long day on the roads. I went out on a couple of the holy roads that I haven't been on in a few months and it felt good to enjoy a still mild da and some nice views of our local landmark of Thumb Butte.
I hope to get out on the trails around the butte and over on the Peavine trail more often, especially if the parking is free and the weather clear. Nice longer runs will be good for me an my endurance.
I'm still trying to figure out what the ultra schedule is going to be for 2021 as there are a few races cancelled this year that have been rolled over, tentative dates but it's frustrating to try to plan ahead with all of the ridiculous covid nonsense still going on.
Guess I'll get myself ready for the Jackpot in February and go from there.
Plus it will be nice when these short days finally start getting longer so that I'm able to get in an evening workout before it gets dark. Maybe I'll just hit the treadmill at the gym for awhile instead.
