Finishing my daily routine and morning ritual, my body was slacking on the yard work and my hydroponics/botany; taking a while to complete due to pure morning exhaustion - I made a nice breakfast and sat down to a British BBC Series I started watching yesterday called "The White Queen". I highly recommend it.
Approaching early afternoon by this time, I decided upon visiting a small western section of the Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) Bruce Trail system, connecting through the Berry Tract off York Road through Valley Road's Rock Chapel Sanctuary, I headed to Borer's Falls, leaving out the southern area of this section containing Borer's Falls the views along the trail walk were beautiful!
And I snagged this shot,
Zoomed into the City of Hamilton,
The trees were in Summer shade over the last few days of the season and knowing fall was coming, even injures, I made a vow to check out the other two Falls upon later return.
South of here lie Cootes Paradise and Princess Point across the bay. I completed all of these trails many years ago, exploring most side trails and off trails; I loved it when I was younger! Maybe I shall check these areas out when I see the falls again in the future!
East of here lie the Arboretum and the Rock Gardens main areas', which have been seen in the past, not this time, but perhaps in the coming weeks as well!

When we arrived at the falls, I took some beautiful shots of the drop,
I was loving the rushing water,
And the sheer scale of the cliff's escarpment environment!
It was pure beauty!
Continuing along the trail back we hit the Urban Nature Ecosystem Centre section of the Bruce Trail and followed this along;
Apparently, this Red Sumac, pictures above, can be made into a tea? Interesting, will have to look into this more!
I continued my walk,
Finding this fruiting body, or otherwise known
I found this den, covered with a pit inside,
No idea what this was used for, but thought it pretty cool!
And the view was awesome here!
Taking the Rock Chapel Trail from the Nature Section of the Escarpment Bruce Trail back,
At about 675 feet elevation,
The elevation drops almost right to 0 feet at the bottom of the falls!
Finishing up, I closed off my trail apps for the hike and was satisfied with what I had recorded - First, around Borer's Falls;
Second, along the Escarpment Bruce Trail and around back;
The entire trail system for this section of the Gardens land can be seen in this snippet of the map, with Cootes Paradise and Princess Point south not shown;
Heading home, I reflected on how much I thoroughly enjoyed the hike. My body hurts and is still sore but I'll survive, hah. The fact that I enjoyed this day this much even when in this much pain makes me so happy :)
After resting for a little, I went for a short walk around the lake and then headed back, grabbing this nice picture direct at the sun, exposure and contrasted to be able to see the area surrounding;
Upon arriving home I prepared myself for bed for today was a long day. We shall see where tomorrow's adventures take us!
