People gotta love you the way you are or they are not the right people for you. Not just love you for what you do for them. Them people, when their need for you changes they have no more need for you, you are no longer important to them. Their loyalty and respect for you soon you will see also diminish. When you are too tired to keep on giving that is when the relationship has worn you out. That's the time they will leave you behind moving on to ubundant more fruitful surrounds. You were no more than a pasture for them to graze upon now exited left behind baron to regenerate, while nomadically they migrate to better offerings in search to fulfil whatever need for which you no longer provide. Some will even completely shit all over you, others will be nowhere to find when you are down an out that time you really need them most. We've all been there! Saving you to later graze upon if you allow them. Keep in mind they will never stay when you are spent having offerings no more left for them to gain.
Don't allow your heart to live shadowed in darkness.
So if that be the case! Don't let it make you cold n bitter, stay sweet be warm keep giving of yourself. Only what you are prepared to happily give freely without any expectation of favour in return. Even if that favour be merelyn in kind. Sorry to say it is still often asking far too much from most you encounter. It's normal for good people like you to assume everyone else has a good heart sharing the same moral compass you do. It would be naive to think this yet still we do, due to we see ourselves when we view the world our surround. Our perception of others is based on our knowledge of selves. I will say. Without expectations one will suffer no great losses. Sounds real dismal when you think about it it's not. Look at it like this. Without expectations life will be full of great surprises from the real people who you allow enter your life. In time these people will show themselves you will be impressed and glad you never closed your heart leaving your door open to new comers who enter your life. These people will be there when no one else will. They won't let you fall alone. Alongside shotgun they will ride the high and low waves life has to offer us all, as you will do same in return for them.
